Why do you believe innovations in participatory democracy are important?

The motto of the Knight’s of The Round Table – Adopt, adapt and improve ( according to Monty Python.) Every time a new community becomes engaged in Participatory Budgeting , they learn something and the PB community learns something. The constant adapting and adopting of the process , reflecting the different communities and situations, lays the ground work for a widening circle of engagement .

What do you hope to see at the 2018 Innovations in Participatory Democracy Conference?

Looking forward to hearing how PB is progressing in countries where democracy is not the norm.
