Willice Onyango has researched on young people, prioritizing global sustainable development policy and practices, for 5 years. He has also written extensively on youth with his columns published on the Huffington Post,The Star Newspaper,The Standard Newspaper,Open Democracy, Devex, and Prescouter Innovation Journal. He has been a research Fellow at University of Brighton, University of Witwatersrand, and a current Fellow at European Journalism Center.
Previously, he served as youth representative to the Africa We Want Post 2015, Beyond 2015 Steering Committee ,and the UN Secretary General appointed High Level Panel of Eminent Persons on Post 2015. For one year, he served as the Youth Ambassador for Wateraid.
Additionally, he is a speaker at numerous conferences,spanning 28 countries, including at the United Nations and World Bank Headquarters as well as the African Union. He is an alumni of the highly acclaimed One Young World and International Young Leaders Assembly.
Currently, he is leading the Coalition for Kenya Youth Manifesto as the Executive Chairperson of the International Youth Council of Kenya through its implementing agent, The Youth Cafe. The Coalition has launched the first ever Kenya Youth Manifesto for 2017 elections.

The technological advancements of the the 21st century and the youth bulge in many countries requires new approached toward the development of democracy.
